(Scroll down for video) A man is dead after he refused to give chocolate to his prison roommate, prosecutors in Georgia.
Now, Clayton County prosecutors said that the inmate was sentenced to life in prison on Friday, for killing his cellmate during a fight over a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
22-year-old William Alexander Brooks pleaded guilty to killing Kenneth Robert Grochowski. He was given the possibility of parole as part of a plea bargain agreement with prosecutors.
Brooks, who drowned Grochowski in the toilet bowl, was originally arrested on charges of theft. Grochowski, 57, was found unconscious following a roll call.
The fight started after Grochowski bought candy at the prison shop and gave Brooks one peanut butter cup. However, Brooks wanted all the candy. Brooks beat Grochowski and then held his head in the toilet bowl.
Grochowski was originally jailed on charges of weapons possession, DUI and eluding police.
