(Scroll down for video) An extremely bright student got himself expelled from school after slamming a custard pie into his teachers face, a video uploaded to the Internet showed.

18-year-old Jacob Dowdle pushed the pie into the face of his teacher, which led to him being expelled from school and facing assault charges.

The video showed Dowdle with a paper plate full of whipped cream. As the teacher appeared, Dowdle approached and pushed the pie into her face.

The director of the school said that the incident was a premeditated assault. “The behavior of Jacob Dowdle was no joke. His teacher was slapped in the face in a planned assault. He must have realized that such behavior would have serious consequences,” a spokesperson for the school said.

The student is appealing his expulsion. The student wrote a letter of apology to the teacher. He was dragged to the police station on charges of assault.

The teacher suffered pain in the eyes as a result of the assault.
