(Scroll down for video) A man who wanted to sneak into his former girlfriend’s home is in a whole lot of trouble, police in California said.
The 32-year-old man of Lake Forest, had to be rescued by about 25 firefighters after being unable to get out of a chimney.
It took rescuers more than two hours to free the man, who was called a naughty Santa Claus by one of the responding police officers. An Orange County Fire Department worker said that the situation worsened as the man slid deeper into the chimney.
“The people inside the home called the police after they heard a man yelling and screaming,” the firefighter said. Rescue workers had to dismantle the chimney piece by piece until they were able to hook up the man to a harness and pull him to safety.
The man was transferred to a local hospital. He was not seriously injured and will not be charged.
