(Scroll down for video) A couple is in trouble after leading police on a high speed chase with young children in the getaway car.
The Massachusetts couple faces several charges after they allegedly tried to rob a house in Woburn.
They fled while their five children were in the getaway car, police Chief Robert J. Ferullo Jr. said.
Police were called about 5:30 p.m., when people saw the suspect go into their neighbor’s home. When police arrived they caught the man in the act, but he managed to flee.
His wife acted as the getaway driver and led police on a high speed chase while her five children, who are all under 7 years old, were in the car.
The suspects were identified as Salina Pasquarello, 26, and Ralph Pasquarello, 39, both of Danvers.
Police were finally able to stop them and they were arrested. The couple was accused of several crimes, including burglary, robbery and theft . Both were also charged with five counts of endangering children.
Ralph Pasquarello was charged with felony vandalism, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer. Salina Pasquarello was also charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle. She was released after posting $500 bail.
The Department of Children and Families said that they will be filing for emergency custody of the children.
