(Scroll down for video) Zoo officials in Michigan, decided that the way to earn extra cash is by selling animal poo to the public.
Battle Creek gardeners now have the opportunity to add a little more fertilizer this year, as the zoo started selling zebra , antelope, and giraffe dung manure as well as other exotic animals.
The price for the poo is selling at bargain levels as the zoo is offering a whole mountain of manure for just $30. Consumers can purchase the poo at the Binder Park Zoo, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., until the end of this week.
Zoo workers will be on hand to help load the manure at 6 1/ 2 Mile Road gate. “We have mountains of manure to sell. There is enough for everyone,” a spokesperson for Binder Park Zoo said.
Any remaining manure will be dumped locally. Binder Park Zoo members will receive a $5 discount for each truckload of manure.
