Resident of the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood in Jerusalem, are anxious after a terrorist opened fire at a group of yeshiva students, who were relaxing in a local park on Friday.
The incident began when shots rang out on Friday night around 2:00 a.m.
The yeshiva students quickly fled from the scene, and no injuries were reported. Residents believe that the shooter came from the nearby Muslim city of Shuafat, but so far, police have been unable to confirm it.
Police have increased their presence in the neighborhood for the time being. Police officers who arrived at the park, found 13 shell casings and one bullet.
Local residents have said that they have hired a security company to patrol the area after the new Highway 21 connected Ramat Shlomo with nearby Muslim villages.
