A silly thief robbed a woman and then tried to friend her on Facebook, leading to his arrest.
28-year-old Riley Allen Mullins of Port Orchard, Washington, was identified by police as the robber after the victim recognized his distinctive tattoo.
The woman called police after she was robbed while sitting at the Bremerton ferry terminal. The suspect attacked her from behind and robbed her.
The man hit the victim on the back of the head, and grabbed her iPod and purse. Before the man escaped, the victim saw a triangle-shaped tattoo on his neck.
The next day, the victim received a friend request on Facebook and recognized him as her attacker.
Mullins was charged with second-degree theft after the victim saw his triangle-shaped tattoo on many photos on his Facebook page.
Mullins’ Facebook page is still active and many of his followers have mocked him over the incident.
