(Scroll down for video) Two teens were arrested on charges of vandalism as a hate crime after allegedly spray painting “burn Jews” on walls, police in New York said.
The Granville State Police said that they have arrested the two people in connection with the hateful graffiti in Whitehall on Wednesday.
Investigators have charged 18-year-old Shane Smith of Whitehall, and 17-year-old Devon Morris of Granville, with felony criminal mischief.
Morris was also charged with illegally growing cannabis.
Both are being prosecuted as adults.
They were arrested in relation to anti-Semitic and racist statements that were sprayed on buildings and signs around the city of Whitehall.
The graffiti was discovered at the Big G’s car wash, on Buckley Road signs and at the Whitehall Central School.
Both were processed and booked into Washington County Jail.
