In October, a fight between a husband and wife ended with the death of a mother-in-law. The fight over loud music caused a fatal shooting at the house of a family in El Paso, Texas, according to court documents.

El Paso Police arrested 25-year-old Armando Munoz, who was arguing with his wife, about 1:15 a.m., at their home on Sirius Avenue. Munoz and his wife, were in an argument when Munoz ran to his room to get a Glock 22 pistol.

As he was loading the gun, his mother in law, Bobbi Hackney, 47, tried to grab the gun from his hands, according to the affidavit. During the tussle, the gun went off and shot Hackney in the stomach.

Police were called to the house. Hackney was taken to University Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.

Munoz fled the scene before police arrived and was found a short distance from the house. Munoz was booked into the El Paso County Detention center on charges of murder, assault and violence. His bond totals more than $1 million.
