A man attempted to commit suicide by setting his car on fire while he was inside.

However, after a few moments, the car became to hot to handle and he screamed for help.

The 35-year-old married man and father of three, was severely burned, but he is still alive.

The incident took place in Thaba Nchu, South Africa, when the man who worked as a taxi driver, was caught cheating on his wife.

“Things have been bad between us for the past 6 months,” his 34-year-old wife, Dimakatso Makae, said.

She heard rumors that her husband was cheating, but when she confronted him about the cheating the man took her wedding ring and smashed it with a hammer.

“He threatened to burn me, our three kids and himself in our house,” the woman added.

Fearing for her life and for her children, she went to her brother’s house for the night. Later, a friend called and asked her to come to a bar and see what her husband was doing.

“When I arrived I saw him kissing another woman. I confronted him and things turned ugly,” the wife said.

“This was the 4th time I have caught him cheating. Every time I confronted him about it, he threatened to commit suicide,” she said.

After being caught cheating, the man doused his house, car and himself with gasoline and set it all on fire. However, when things got to hot for him to handle he
began screaming for help, and neighbors came to his rescue.

Now, the man is badly burned, homeless and fighting for his life at the Pelonomi Hospital.
