(Scroll down for video) A developer got a shocking $1 million investment to create a mobile application that can do only one thing, say “Yo.”
“This is the simplest and most efficient communication tool in the world. Yo is a single-tap zero character communication tool. Yo is everything and anything, it all depends on you, the recipient and the time of the Yo,” the company states on its website.
“Want to say ‘good morning’? Just Yo. Want to say ‘baby I’m thinking about you’? Yo. ‘I’ve finished my meeting, come to my office,’ Yo. ‘Are you up?’ Yo. The possibilities are endless. We don’t want your email or Facebook identifications, there is no search, no nothing. Just Yo. Open the app, tap Yo, that’s it. It’s that simple. Yo,” the company concludes.
Or Arbel said that he got $1 million from investors. He moved to San Francisco, California, last week, to pursue Yo full-time.
Arbel sees real potential for the application to change the way of communication beyond the social sphere. Imagine ordering at Starbucks and simply waiting for a Yo to come through your phone when you’re ready instead of listening for a barista to scream your name.
You can receive a Yo from the airline at the airport when it’s time to board your flight as well.
