(Scroll down for video) A woman who did not want to leave any criminal evidence behind, was seen on video eating marijuana in back of a police vehicle, police in Florida said.

Brevard County Police said that the woman crashed her car, and when she was placed in the back of a police cruiser she ate marijuana.

45-year-old Tavish Smith, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence along U.S. 1, after she allegedly crashed her vehicle while driving the wrong way.

An officer who searched the woman’s vehicle, found a small sandwich bag of marijuana. A surveillance video taken inside the police car showed Smith deny that the marijuana was hers.

Later, despite being handcuffed, the suspect reached into the front seat of the police car, and grabbed the sandwich bag, eating the marijuana. When the officer returned to the vehicle, he was shocked to see that the bag of marijuana was empty.

Smith had faced misdemeanor charges, but since she destroyed the evidence her charges were bumped up to felonies. Smith has been released on bail, but was suspended from her job as an employee for a judge.
