(Scroll down for video) A woman has filed a lawsuit against her former employer, claiming that being stuck in rush hour traffic caused her extreme anxiety, according to court documents filed in New Jersey.
Andrea DeGerolamo decided to sue her former employer when they refused to change her schedule to avoid the rush hour traffic.
She also claims that Fulton Financial Corp. fired her in retaliation for her efforts to address bias in the workplace. She is seeking unspecified financial damages.
DeGerolamo said that at one point, she began to feel great anxiety and depression, which was particularly aggravated by the congested road experienced during heavy rush hour traffic.
DeGerolamo wanted that her shift be changed to avoid the morning and afternoon rush hours.
