23-year-old Lasasha Allen of Louisiana, was charged with attempted murder after she threw her baby out from a moving car.

The Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office was called to the Franklin Medical Center in Winnsboro, around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, to investigate the incident.

The emergency room staff realized that the 20-month-old girl, suffered severe injuries. The mother was taken to the sheriff’s office questioning.

At first, she claimed it was a mistake and that the child fell out of an open window. However, upon further integration, the mother finally revealed the true motive of her horrific act.

According to sheriff investigators, Allen had contacted the child’s father on Saturday, and told him that the child had fallen from a car window while driving, and had been wounded. The intention, according to the Sheriff Cobb, was to get a reaction of the father.

“The next day, when she got no response from him, she decided to turn that dream into reality,” Franklin Parish Sheriff Kevin Cobb said.

Allen placed the 20 month old in the passenger seat, accompanied by her 7-year-old child, who was placed in the back seat, and drove to a rural area near a curved road.

According to investigators, Allen then drove at a speed of up to 45 miles per hour, opened the door and intentionally causing the baby to fall out.

According to the report, Allen said that she intended to inflict minor injuries to the child so not to be caught in a lie by the child’s father.

She waited for a period of time before taking the injured boy to the emergency room. The baby is in stable condition awaiting surgery.

Allen has been charged with attempted murder in the second-degree. Her bond was set at $750,000. Allen’s five children have been taken from her and placed in the custody of Children Services.
