A woman of China, was seen on video burning her husband’s mistress alive in the street.

The woman of Kunming, Yunnan province, burned her husband’s mistress to death by dousing her with gasoline and setting her on fire before attempting to commit suicide.

The suspect, who was identified as Shi, claimed that the mistress forced her to get a divorce. Shi worked in a hotel and her husband worked as a bus driver. The two have a daughter together.

Shi claimed that they had a good relationship until a year ago, when the mistress entered their lives. The couple’s relationship ended in divorce and Shi hated being alone.

Shi followed the other woman to a tea house and asked the woman: “Was that you who hooked up with my husband?” She then doused the woman with a bucket of gasoline and other flammable materials.

Onlookers watched helplessly, and were unable to save the victim from the huge flames. The entire attack was recorded by the dash cam of a passing car.

After the attack, Shi drank pesticide and cut herself with a knife. In the ambulance, Shi reportedly said: “it’s meaningless for me to live alone. I don’t want to live.”

She was taken to a hospital where she is in critical condition and under police watch, as officers continue their investigation into the attack.
