(Scroll down for video) A female police officer pulled a poisonous snake out from a toilet bowl after a construction company worker called for help, police in Alabama said.

The bathroom break of the worker ended with the unexpected shock.

The man came face to face with a four foot long snake coiled on the toilet. Willie Harris said that at first, he thought someone was playing a joke.

When he saw the snake move a few times, he knew that it was not a joke. The company boss called police and Hueytown Police Officer Alice Thompson responded to the scene.

Thompson said that the snake appeared much larger in person than on photos she was shown before entering the toilet. The officer quickly devised a strategy to get rid of the snake, all without harming it.

She took several batons and grabbed the snake by its head. Thompson then led the snake to her patrol car. She drove down the road and threw the snake back into its natural habitat unharmed.
