The boyfriend, 33-year-old Michael Kirby of Tennessee, assaulted the buyer, and ran after him with pots and pans to stop the sale.

24-year-old cab driver Ervin Morgan, went to the home of Kirby’s girlfriend, Jennifer Wilson, to buy the cat from the woman.

According to police, the two men were still inside the house when Kirby began beating Morgan with pots, pans and sticks.

Kirby was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and vandalism. Morgan was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

When Kirby was released on bail, he went to Morgan’s prison cell and punched him in the face for getting him arrested.
