People fled in panic after a dead body slipped out of a medical examiner’s car and landed on the road, drivers in Pennsylvania reported.
Bucks County officials are investigating how the stretcher carrying the deceased person fell out of the vehicle on Friday afternoon.
Driver Jerry Bradley was waiting at the light coming out of a mall when he saw the stretcher fall out of the vehicle owned by the county.
Bradley said that it appeared there was a body in a bag and it was wrapped in a sheet. The vehicle was heading for the coroner’s office in Ivyland, when the stretcher fell into the roadway.
The image of the scene was uploaded to Facebook, and has since gone viral. According to the initial investigation, it seems that the door of the vehicle malfunctioned.
