A man was arrested on charges of trespassing after being seen swimming with sharks at an aquarium, police in Massachusetts said.
The Boston Police Department said that 51-year-old Stephen Pellegrine of Quincy, took a dangerous plunge into the New England Aquarium.
He was arrested after jumping into the giant water tank early on Thursday night. Aquarium staff said he appeared to be intoxicated and snuck into the facility without paying for a ticket.
He climbed a wall and went into the tank. The tank is 27 feet deep, according to workers at the aquarium. There are several sharks in the tank.
Pellegrine has been charged with trespassing and disturbing the peace. He was ordered held on $500 bail. The sharks were not injured during the incident.
