A man was arrested on charges of assault after he threw a gumball machine at a pizza store employee, police in Massachusetts said.
The Northampton Police Department said that 24-year-old Patrick Hogan, ordered a pizza pie at Mimmo’s Pizza.
He became agitated after waiting over 30 minutes for his order. Hogan felt it took too long. He told the employee that he wants to leave and demanded a refund.
The employee gave Hogan his money back and let him have his pizza as well.
Hogan however, felt that the worker threw the food and the money at him. In response, Hogan threw the gumball machine at the worker and it struck him in the leg.
The suspect then pulled a cash register and threw a clock. The suspect also assaulted another customer at the store because he thought that he was being recorded on video.
He was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault and battery, malicious destruction of property, theft of more than $250 and vandalism.
