(Scroll down for video) A Utah man is in financial trouble after he allowed his grandson to drive his car.
The man allowed his 9-year-old grandson to back his car into his driveway, only to have the boy crash into a neighbor’s house, on Saturday afternoon.
The boy mistakenly hit the gas and drove the car into the home of his neighbor, Kathy Adams of Salt Lake City, during a driving lesson gone wrong.
The names of the boy and his grandfather have not been released. However, Adams spoke about the horror of seeing the car coming towards her and crashing into her home, leaving her with injuries.
The Jeep was seen halfway through the front window of Adams’ home, leaving broken glass, bricks, damaged windows and a bent gutter.
60-year-old Adams showed the injury to her foot, which was swollen and bloodied, when her couch hit her during the crash.
Adams spent the day with her grandchildren before being lightly hurt by the car. Adams was not allowed back into her home, and will have to stay elsewhere until her home is inspected and deemed safe.
Police have not arrested the grandfather, but gave him a citation for allowing his young grandson to drive his car.
