A man was arrested on charges of endangering a child after forcing a little boy to do meth, police in Texas said.
Titus County Police said that they arrested 26-year-old Trevor Ward, after being accused of attacking several people with a piece of wood and forced a child to ingest methamphetamine.
Around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, police officers were called to the 1400 block of County Road 1340. When they arrived at the scene, investigators determined that Ward had assaulted his girlfriend at home.
During the attack, friends tried to protect the woman, But Ward began assaulting them as well. One person had to be taken to a local hospital after suffering injuries.
Ward also forced his way into a room where two children, aged 8 and 9, were playing and forced one of them to swallow meth. The child was taken to a local hospital and he tested positive for methamphetamine.
Police found methamphetamine residue, drug paraphernalia and other items consistent with methamphetamine use in Ward’s car.
The suspect was charged with injury to a child, endangering a child, possession of a controlled substance and assault.
