The Israel Electric Company said that its workers restored electricity to Gaza, despite coming under attack, Israel Hayom reported.
After a day without electricity, power was restored to 70,000 households of the Gaza Strip.
The government gave the Israel Electric Corporation, the green light to repair a high power line that had been damaged by a rocket on Saturday.
The Israel Defense Forces said that one of the rockets fired by terrorists from Gaza on Sunday night, hit an electric infrastructure in Israel, which supplies electricity to the Gaza Strip, causing the power outage to 70,000 households in Gaza.
Israel Electric Company sent employees to repair the damage. The employees were accompanied by IDF soldiers and equipped with bulletproof vests.
They wore special helmets to minimize the threat of shrapnel wounds while coming under attack.
