A CNN International reporter called Israeli “scum” for cheering Israel’s offensive on the Gaza Strip, according to a tweet on the reporter’s Twitter account.
Diana Magnay called the Israelis “scum” on Thursday.
“Israelis on hill above Sderot cheer as bombs land on #gaza; threaten to ‘destroy our car if I say a word wrong’. Scum,” Magnay tweeted.
The tweet has since been removed from her account. Earlier this week, music fans were angry after Rihanna tweeted #FreePalestine on her Twitter page.
Rihanna just inserted herself into the center of the Middle East conflict by tweeting #FreePalestine, but she deleted the tweet after eight minutes.
It is unclear why Rihanna had the change of heart. The tweet was posted shortly after the ceasefire proposal of Egypt collapsed because Hamas continued to fire rockets at Israel.
The tweet of Rihanna, comes just three days after NBA star Dwight Howard, tweeted #FreePalestine. Just like Rihanna, Howard deleted the message.
Howard later apologized for engaging in international politics. However, Rihanna did not apologize. Rihanna did tweet: “Let’s pray for peace and a swift end to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict! Is there any hope?”
