(Scroll down for video) Looking for some extra cash in exchange for your high end sneakers? Pay a visit to a young boy of New York City.
16-year-old Chase Reed, has taken advantage of the potential profitability of the high-end sneaker culture by opening the first ever sneaker pawn shop in Harlem.
Sneaker Pawn allows people to sell their high end sneakers for cash. The most expensive pair of shoes, Lebron Crown Jewels, costs $1,400.
The teen has a $30,000 strong collection of sneakers, which helped fund the store. Troy Reed, Chase’s father, said that his son has always loved sneakers and fashion.
The two said that the shop quickly became a neighborhood place for teens to come and hang out. Sneaker Pawn works like any pawnshop.
They tell you how much your shoes are worth, give you the money as a loan and you have 30 days to pay them. The shoes must be perfect or slightly used.
Sneaker Pawn also restores and customizes sneakers.
