Israel has opened a hospital at the Gaza border in order to treat injured civilians, the Tazpit News Agency reported.
The Israel Defense Forces opened the hospital on Sunday night, an IDF spokesperson said.
The medical center is providing medical services to the wounded, as well as other required medical services. The hospital includes a maternity ward.
The hospital is staffed by doctors, nurses and medical technicians. The hospital is located at the Erez crossing, and it is housed inside a rocket proof building.
Also on Sunday, Israel has agreed to a two hour humanitarian-based ceasefire in the Sagae’ya area to enable Hamas to treat their wounded and collect their dead.
The IDF has called on the civilian population to take advantage of the ceasefire and evacuate the area. The ceasefire also allowed civilians to restock on essential goods.
