A mother used Craigslist to find someone willing to care for her 5 children.

The only response she got was from Child Protective Services.

Now, the North Carolina mother lost custody of her five children after posting the Craigslist advertisement seeking temporary housing for them.

32-year-old Moshimalee Johnson, reportedly tried to find housing through the Social Services of Durham County, but was unsuccessful. The local shelters also has a long waiting list.

The desperate pregnant woman, who lost her job as a certified nursing assistant, took to the Internet and posted the advertisement on Craigslist, seeking a home for her children until she gets back on her feet.

“Five kids in need of a temporary home. I am currently homeless and looking for someone to take my five children until I can find a job and a place to live,” she wrote.

Two days later, Johnson posted in the advertisement that her children, aged 9, 7, 6, and 2-year-old twins, were all taken from her and placed in foster care.

The children had also been receiving trauma counseling after seeing their 6-year-old brother hanging in the closet after he reportedly tied a hat string around his neck. Luckily, he survived.
