A new Facebook page was launched to raise funds for Israeli soldiers.
On Monday, 29-year-old Alexandra, created the Facebook page on which she calls on everyone stand behind our soldiers, in order to raise money to help the soldiers fighting in Gaza.
What happened next exceeded her wildest expectations.
Within 48 hours, this young immigrant from France, who arrived in Israel a little over a year ago, raised more than $70,000, which was distributed to various associations that help the soldiers.
Alexandra gave the Duvdevan $15,000.
Working together with Shayetet 13, they purchased 400 kilos of sweets, biscuits and nuts, 2,000 socks, lingerie, large amounts of shampoo, soap and deodorant, and a mountain of cigarettes.
On Monday night, hundreds of volunteers gathered at a Tel Aviv nightclub to put together packages for soldiers. The packages were sent to the soldiers on Tuesday morning.
6,000 packages with personal hygiene products, as well as thousands of small bags of food that soldiers can take with them to the front, were given to the military.
