(Scroll down for video) Police arrested a mechanic for rape after his greasy hands left evidence behind at the scene.
The victim called police in Chattanooga, Tennessee, after she was raped in her own bed.
42-year-old Jeffrey Wooten, who knew the victim, allegedly came into her house late at night, pulled her by the ankle to the edge of the bed and sexually assaulted her.
The victim told police that Wooten blocked the door so that she could not leave. The woman was scared for her safety and for the safety of her two-year-old daughter.
Wooten initially denied that he was at the house.
However, officials found a phone message on the victim’s home phone, which was left by Wooten, using the victim’s phone. The victim was heard in the background.
Investigators said that Wooten, who is an auto mechanic, also left black grease stains on the victim’s bedspread.
The victim already had a restraining order against Wooten. She said it was not the first time he had assaulted her.
Wooten was charged with aggravated rape, false imprisonment, and violation of an order of protection.
