(Scroll down for video) A woman who hired a man to do construction in her home, was raped by him.
Now, 39-year-old Gary Lynn Kritlow, Jr., has been sentenced to life in prison for the crime.
After a three-day trial, a jury in Catoosa County, Georgia,
found Kritlow guilty on charges of aggravated sexual battery, aggravated assault with the intent to commit rape, and false imprisonment.
The jury heard that Kritlow was doing work in the residence when he forced the adult victim to a bathroom in her own home.
Kritlow then forcibly penetrated the victim and forcefully committed sodomy on her.
Kritlow initially denied having sexual contact with the victim. Forensic analysis however, revealed that the seminal fluid recovered from the clothing of the victim was a DNA match to Kritlow, District Attorney Herbert Franklin said.
Kritlow is no stranger to the court system. He has multiple prior convictions for unlawful sexual contact with women as well as children. Those crimes took place in Florida, Alabama and Tennessee.
Kritlow will no longer be a threat to society as he was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
