A man of the United Kingdom, is extremely angry after he was charged $135 (75 pounds) for three bottles of water, according to a receipt uploaded to the Internet.
Edward Heaton ordered the three bottles of water during a stay in the luxury hotel in London.
He ordered the three bottles of sparkling water for him and a client. Heaton, 44, had ordered the bottles of San Pellegrino from the Crystal Bar at the Wellesley Hotel.
He did not realize that the bar has a minimum charge of $45 per person after 4:00 p.m., so it was $90 for two, plus a service charge of $15.
In comparison, a six-pack of San Pellegrino sparkling water costs $12.50 at local stores. Heaton said that he was not informed of the additional charges, and will never visit the hotel again.
He said that for $135 he could have enjoyed a bottle of wine. Heaton said that he bought water bottles at other hotels and was never charged more than a few dollars.
