(Scroll down for video) A woman said that she worked in a horrific rat infested environment.
Doris Kennard worked at the Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C, when she was attacked by rats.
She also witnessed the rats eat through body bags and feasting on corpses before entering their private parts.
Kennard said that she cannot stop crying when thinking about the rats eating the bodies. “This should never happen in a U.S. hospital,” she said.
Refrigerators often break down at the morgue, leaving the bodies at warm temperatures, which then attracts the rats.
After being attacked by the rats, Kennard was hospitalized. She gave up her job and filed the lawsuit.
Kennard won a $237,000 judgment for emotional distress against the hospital. However, the hospital disagrees with the judgement and will appeal the decision.
