A bride and groom were looking forward for their big day, but their plans were ruined.
Liang Tao of China, a Xinjiang Frontier Army leader, was ordered to report to base just before he was set to marry his sweetheart.
After learning about the canceled wedding, his platoon decided to throw a “video wedding” for the couple.
According to reports, Liang and his girlfriend Yang, had planned the wedding last week, but it was canceled when Liang was assigned to the military mission.
Liang was forced to stay in Xinjiang, since he was the only leader available at the time. Liang’s platoon threw him a surprise wedding.
The bride and her family gathered at a hall. She was dressed in her beautiful white gown as she “married” her lover through a video screen.
The bride thanked everyone for the special wedding.
“Thank you for all that you have prepared for me. Though my husband is not here with me right now, it is a meaningful and memorable wedding,” Yang said.
