A woman was furious when her daughter’s boyfriend asked to marry her daughter after he killed her.

The man of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, killed his girlfriend and stabbed her mother in a fit of rage.

Now, he wants to show his “love and sorrow” to his dead girlfriend, 24-year-old Samkelisiwe Hlongwane, by marrying her in her coffin.

Hlongwane’s mother, Thembisile Thungo, 46, said that Hlongwane’s boyfriend of three years, stabbed her daughter and when she tried to intervene the man attacked her.

“He stabbed me in the stomach more than eight times. Then he returned to finish off my daughter,” the distraught mother said.

When the mother was released from a hospital her daughter’s boyfriend arrived, saying that he wanted to pay bride money so that he can marry Hlongwane in her coffin to apologize for his actions.

“He apologized to me, and said that he killed my daughter when he was angry and asked me to allow him to marry her in the coffin,” Thungo said.

“If I had the energy I would have strangled him,” she added.

“Samkelisiwe was my only child. I will not sell her soul. I do not want his money. He killed my daughter in front of me even when I begged him to stop,” Thungo explained.

The man surrendered to police in Ekuvukeni, to prove that he was sorry. Captain Thulani Zwane said a suspect turned himself in, and was charged with murder and attempted murder.
