Brooklyn Police said that they arrested the man, who was impersonating a police officer when he attacked the woman earlier this week.

37-year-old Jason Forgetta, also known as Jason Torres, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Friday on charges of rape, robbery and criminal impersonation of a police officer.

On Wednesday at 2:00 a.m., the 26-year-old woman met Forgetta, and the two began to talk. The suspect showed the victim of a gold shield and identified himself as a police officer.

The victim invited the suspect to her home, where the suspect raped her. Police said Forgetta also stole her cell phone, money and her wallet before fleeing from the scene.

The victim was treated at an area hospital.
