A security guard of a gas station at the entrance of Ma’aleh Adumim, was stabbed in an unprovoked attack, Israel Police said.
The Jerusalem Police Department said that the incident occurred around 12:00 p.m., when the terrorist pulled a knife and attacked the 60-year-old security guard, who managed to shoot the stabber despite his injury.
However, the suspect managed to flee in the direction of a nearby village.
Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived at the scene, treated the security guard who suffered from a stab wound to the torso.
The security guard was transported to Hadassah Medical Center for further treatment. Police are searching for the attacker, and so far, no arrests have been made.
