Muslim man arrested for masterminding the abduction and killing of 3 yeshiva students

A Muslim man was arrested on charges of kidnapping and murder after allegedly masterminding the killing of three yeshiva students, Israel Police said.

40-year-old Hussam Qawasmeh of Hebron, was arrested in connection with the killing of three Israelis, Gil-Ad Shaar, Naftali Frankel and Eyal Yifrach, who were reported missing and found dead several days later.

Qawasma told police during questioning that he had helped organize the kidnappings and he got the money for the task from Hamas.

He also admitted to having purchased weapons and giving them to the other two men suspected of having carried out the attack.

The two other suspects are still at large. Qawasma is said to have admitted to helping bury the teens on land he purchased a few months earlier.

Qawasmeh was arrested while trying to flee to Jordan, police said.
