(Scroll down for video) A man was sentenced to life in prison for taking advantage of girls after befriending them on Facebook.
42-year-old Jonathan Kuhlman of Kennewick, Washington, was found guilty of sex crimes and was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years to life in prison.
Kuhlman was accused of sexually abusing two girls of the Kiona-Benton City High School, after befriending them through Facebook, and supplying them with marijuana.
Before sentencing, Kuhlman asked the judge for leniency for the sake of his parents, his wife and children, including a daughter who is only 19 months old.
He maintained his innocence and was devastated that
“the truth” did not come out in court.
A jury in the Benton County Superior Court, took about two hours to find Kuhlman guilty of the charges.
He was convicted of second-degree rape, communicating with a minor for immoral purposes and two counts of distribution of marijuana to a person under 18 years old. All charges were felonies.
Below is a video that was released at the time of his arrest.
