The woman of Arizona, was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and failure to control speed after she fled the scene of an accident.

The driver, Persis Draper, was sentenced to probation after hitting pedestrian Dori Stolmaker, at the intersection of West Magee Road and North La Cholla Boulevard.

Pima County Superior Court Judge Casey McGinley, sentenced Draper to 18 months probation. She also lost her driver’s license over the incident.

Draper apologized for the accident and explained that she had a bad case of diarrhea, and she desperately needed to get to the bathroom.

A witness followed Draper, took her license plate number and reported it to the police. Deputies cited Draper at her home in Oro Valley.

Meanwhile, people helped the 43-year-old victim, who was thrown to oncoming traffic. She was taken to a hospital where she was treated. Stolmaker needed stitches on her arm and had bruises on her body.
