A mother asked a judge to place her brother behind bars for many years after he sexually abused his niece.

The man, who worked as a pharmacy technician and sexually abused his 5-year-old niece, was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Investigators found that the man created a video montage of explicit images of his niece.

31-year-old Damian Clemente Mora of El Centro, California, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a child. A judge in San Diego, sentenced him to 35 years in prison.

According to sentencing documents, investigators discovered that Mora took 512 photos and video of his niece in sexually explicit positions, and the images were stored on different digital devices.

Sadly, the abuse occurred over a period of two years before he was caught.

Investigators said that Mora compiled hundreds of images in an eight minute video montage, which included lively music and a caption that read: “Starring: A Loving Uncle.”

Prosecutors said that Mora boasted about the photos to other “pedophiles and wrote about finding more victims.”

Prosecutor Laura E. Duffy, said that she hopes the sentence will bring a sense of peace to the victim and her family, and prevent Mora of victimizing other children.

In a letter to the court, the victim’s mother wrote that “No amount of time in prison will restore the innocence of the child, who will always be haunted by the memory of two years of sexual abuse by her uncle. No amount of time will lessen a mother’s pain and anguish over the victimization of her child.”

In addition to his jail time, Mora was sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release and must register as a sex offender.
