(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated after allegedly slamming into a fire station, police in New York said.
New Hyde Park Police said that 22-year-old Sarah Espinosa, crashed into the fire station in Long Island, with a stolen snake wrapped around her neck.
According to the police investigation, Espinosa was driving on the Jericho Turnpike on Monday night, when her car swerved into the median.
Her car spiraled out of control and hit two fire trucks parked in the station. Firefighters rushed to help Espinosa. The rescuers saw the snake that was allegedly stolen from a pet store nearby.
Police said that the suspect was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Espinosa was taken to a hospital where she was treated and released.
Espinosa was charged of reckless endangerment, driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana. The snake was returned to the store.
Bail was set at $5,000.
