A man was arrested, charged and found guilty of sex related crimes after trying to have sex with a young child.

The former social worker of England, has been sentenced for four years in prison for arranging to have sex with the 8-year-old girl.

54-year-old Nicholas Allen of Rochdale, Manchester, thought he was arranging to meet the mother and stepmother of the girl, who are in a relationship.

When he traveled to Leybourne, Kent, for the meeting he met with two female undercover cops, according to court documents.

Allen was arrested and later pleaded guilty to arranging the commission of a child sex offense.

Allen allegedly told police that he had been a social worker for 30 years, but was fired for sending inappropriate text messages to a 15-year-old girl.

Defense attorney Kieran Moroney, said that Allen had suffered a breakdown over the past few years, which has ended his marriage.

He also said that Allen was angry with himself and is remorseful for what he had done. Judge David Griffith-Jones sentenced Allen to four years in prison and ordered him to register as a sex offender.
