(Scroll down for video) A crowd of pro-Hamas protesters raided an Asda supermarket in Ireland, and destroyed Israeli products, a video uploaded to the Internet showed.
Dozens of people rushed into the supermarket located in the Westwood Centre on Kennedy Way around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, and took Israeli items off the shelves and slammed them into shopping carriages.
Many were chanting “Free Palestine” before taking numerous products off the shelves that have ties to Israel.
In a statement posted on Facebook, the group said: “We call on others to join the boycott. Join us in the coming weeks as we take the campaign to those who ignore the plight of the Palestinian people.”
Last week, dozens of people pulled products, including those made by Coca Cola, off shelves in west Belfast. The video of the protest was uploaded to YouTube, and it went viral on the Internet.
SuperValu has confirmed that all stores were ordered to remove Israeli carrots from their shelves.
