A woman was fired from her job as a hospital nurse after faking her husband’s HIV test.

A nurse at the hospital in Gokwe, Zimbabwe, was fired, and her coworker was suspended pending the outcome of an investigation after the two deliberately issued false HIV results.

The man then used the results to try to entice his lover, who is married, to have unprotected sex with him.

The incident happened about three weeks ago, when Angela Chipere, and her coworker Shamiso Punzwana, hatched the plan to help Mr. Punzwana prove that he is HIV negative despite being HIV positive.

It is alleged that Shamiso’s husband had an affair with a married woman and had protected sex. However, when Mr. Punzwana wanted to have unprotected sex, his lover demanded him to be tested for HIV.

Knowing that he is HIV positive, Mr. Punzwana, who is unemployed, told his wife that he had been offered a job by an organization and the work was available only to those who have tested negative for HIV.

It is alleged that nurse Shamiso, approached the head of her department Mr. Chipere, and bribed her to facilitate false HIV results.

After getting the negative results, the man took a photo of the results and forwarded them to his mistress via WhatsApp.

However, all hell broke loose when the husband of the mistress found the WhatsApp message. The man went to the home of Mr. Punzwana and confronted him about it.

It was during the argument that his wife learned the true reason he needed the test, and she confessed to falsifying the test results.

Midlands Provincial Medical Director Dr. Milton Chemhuru, confirmed that they are conducting an investigation and charges may be brought against the women.
