Police are looking to arrest three black men on charges of assault after allegedly punching a Crown Heights Hasidic man in the face in an unprovoked attack, police in New York said.
Brooklyn Police said that the 24-year-old man walking on Albany Avenue near Union Street just before 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, was assaulted by the three men.
The victim was walking alone when the three men came from behind him and hit him on the left side of his face, knocking him to the ground.
The man suffered injuries to his face.
According to witnesses, there was no exchange of words between the suspects and the victim, nothing was stolen from the victim, and the three suspects immediately fled from the scene down Albany Avenue.
The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital for treatment, and was released. Police are searching for the suspects, but so far, no arrests have been made.
