A Michigan police officer was caught on the wrong side of the law for leading a drug ring.
The former Detroit, police officer was arrested after prosecutors said that he orchestrated a $3 million prescription drug sale.
29-year-old Brandon Jorge Allen, was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, as he boarded a flight to the Dominican Republic.
Allen was charged with eleven counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, especially oxycodone. He was also found in possession of drugs.
At the hearing, the judge set bail at $12 million. If Allen posts bail, he must surrender his passport, since he was caught trying to flee the country.
Prosecutors said that Allen supplied drugs to a ring operating in Glouster, Ohio. The investigation into this ring has already led to charges against more than a dozen people and the convictions of three men.
