A woman is dead after two drunk drivers collided on a Crown Heights street, police in New York said.
Brooklyn Police said that the incident unfolded on Sunday night.
32-year-old Michelle Migmott, was sitting in the back seat of the car when the driver, who was drunk, hit another drunk driver, police allege.
According to the initial police investigation, a 2007 Nissan Altima was moving along on Eastern Parkway when the driver, 32-year-old Herbert Gerrad, tried to make a left turn onto Troy Avenue.
Herbert struck a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, which was driven by 32-year-old Richard Roman-Santos, just after 4:00 a.m. The Chevrolet Camaro flew onto the sidewalk where it struck an unoccupied parked Toyota Prius.
Migmott was taken to Kings County Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The two drunk drivers suffered minor injuries. Another 32-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries.
Herbert was charged with several offenses including driving under the influence, vehicular homicide and driving with a suspended license.
Roman-Santos was also charged with several offenses, including driving while impaired and vehicular homicide.
