(Scroll down for video) A woman of Ohio, called authorities and informed them that her husband smelled from sex after working at a morgue.
However, she testified that Hamilton County officials ignored the warning signs.
Officials told the concerned woman “whatever happens on county time and on county property is county business.”
60-year-old Kenneth Douglas, has admitted to having sex with up to 100 bodies while working at the morgue. However, the man blamed the use of alcohol and drugs for his actions.
He admitted that he went to work drunk and did drugs during work. His wife reportedly complained to officials that her husband “reeked of sex” when she picked him up from work.
However, his supervisor, who was aware that he had been drinking at work and had sex at work, told her to stop calling.
Douglas was exposed only when a man admitted to killing a woman, but denied raping her. A subsequent investigation proved that Douglas was the perpetrator. His DNA was also found in other victims.
The families of the deceased women are suing the local government for the abuse, which happened while the corpses were in their custody at the morgue.
However, Greg Hartmann, President of the Hamilton County Commission, said: “Hamilton County, like any other employer is not and should not be responsible for the criminal acts of an employee.”
