A store found a clever way around a ban of selling water during a music festival.
Shops in Portland, Oregon, are not allowed to sell water during a music festival when the temperature outside is at 90 degrees.
One store, the Grilled Cheese Grill, decided to circumvent the absurd rule by giving away free water. The store attached two posters to their window, notifying customers about their special summer sale.
The store is offering a peanut for just $1. As a free gift, the store is giving away a bottle of water with the purchase of the peanut.
Musicfest Northwest is an annual music event. An image of the two posters was uploaded to Reddit, and it has since gone viral on the Internet.
“This weekend at MusicfestNW, the lack of available water, free or otherwise, was kind of ridiculous. There were no water stations anywhere. Food carts weren’t allowed to sell beverages of any kind. So for day two, we found a loophole and drove that bus right through it,” the store wrote on Facebook.
