Man fakes his own death after getting cold feet about marrying his fiancee (video)

(Scroll down for video) A man who got cold feet and decided not to get married, pretended to be dead.

His fiancee of the United Kingdom, was devastated when she learned that her fiance, the love of her life, died in a car accident.

However, when she called his parents in the United States, she learned that she was played for a fool.

23-year-old Alex Lanchester met Tucker Blandford, while studying abroad at the University of Connecticut.

The two were together for two years and were supposed to get marry this week. However, Lanchester received a phone call saying that Blandford, had died in a car accident.

She was devastated about the news and called his parents to offer her condolences, only to discover the shocking truth when they revealed that he was alive and well.

She soon learned that her fiance had faked a fatal car crash after getting scared about the prospect of marriage.

Lanchester was even more shocked to learn that her fiance had changed his voice, and pretended to be his grieving father when he called her with the bad news.

“All I ever did was love him. I’m so sick of being messed around with and I’m glad that he is gone,” Lanchester of Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, said.

“Looking back, maybe I was naive, but I really loved him and never thought he would go to such extreme measures to dump me,” she added.

Tucker said that Alex is an amazing woman, but he got scared and wanted to get out of the relationship. He claimed that things were moving extremely fast and with the two being in different countries, it was really hard.

“I am a terrible and awful person. I know I shouldn’t have told her that I was dead, but I didn’t know what else to do,” Tucker said.
